Simple fix. For less than $20 and less than an hour of my time, fixed our non-heating dryer and saved a couple of 100 dollars for repair, or over $600 for replacement.

super easy fix.. philips screw driver and I think 1/4 inch hex bit.. was done in less than 30 min.... I only gave longevity a 3 as we shall have to see how long it lasts. I have repaired two diff driers with this kit.. I'd say I've saved at least 300.00 doing them myself rather than calling repair man. If your lint trap pulls out from the top of drier this is a super easy job. DONOT PAY SOMEONE TO DO THIS!!! if your lint trap is inside the front door it takes longer as you have to reach back where you cant see to install... just take your time

Clothes weren't getting dry on the Whirlpool dryer. Since I had replaced the heating element some time ago, I knew just what part to get. Luckily, it came as a bundle with the thermostats and other pieces (thanks for listening to the people, vendors!), and pricing was reasonable. Just what I needed to take the guesswork out of things. If you're a "Mr./Ms. Fixit" type like I am, keep a log of the repair and write down the replacement parts used for next time. Save yourself time and trouble!

My dryer had stopped working and we identified it needed a new thermal fuse. It was almost $200 for a technician to install the part, so we decided to try it ourselves. The thermal fuse on our dryer had the part number so searched Amazon and found it. This part arrived in two days and was exactly what we needed. It was easy to install, and within 5 minutes the dryer was working again. We did find this same part locally, but it was almost twice the price. We had never installed a dryer fuse before, but it was very easy. Would definitely recommend!!
