Great product - Works well
I really like this -looks great on my Harley road king, and having that battery voltage indication gives me great reassurance when I am miles from anywhere, and about to shut down the V-twin for a stretch of the legs. Installation is fairly straight forward using the supplied connectors and adaptors - I emptied my tank first, and then put back 3 Ltrs of fuel, and calibrated it at that level - this gives me about 50 miles to run once the red "Low" level LED comes on....time to gas up. It took me a couple of attempts to get through the calibration process, possibly because the flashlight I was using to hold the system in "daylight" mode wasn't that bright - just follow the instructions, it will work exactly as they say. Easy to read in bright sunlight, and really sets off the bike with the matching Kuryakyn fuel cap. Now bought a second one for my Softtail.

Nice product and I really like the LED reference for ...
Nice product and I really like the LED reference for fuel level and the charging system. When my float assembly on my '97 Dyna Glide died, I decided to upgrade from the old analog gauge, and this fit the bill nicely. I purchased a new float assembly from my local dealership beforehand to ensure all parts were new, and to eliminate potential gremlins down the road...Installation was simple, and installation took about 1 hour., I also purchased the matching filler cap. Chrome finish was nice, the LED's are clear and visible in daylight and evening hours, and the "reserve" function appears to be closely calibrated from the factory to my bike's fuel levels.Nice product; would recommend to anyone seeking a more modern, digital, upgrade to their HD.

Inaccurate gas gauge
Looks great but gas gauge is completely inaccurate. Thankfully my speedo has a gas gauge that was checked for accuracy against my original analog gauge before I swapped it out for this. If this is going to be your only gas gauge, I'd avoid it - unless you want to constantly open your tank and check it.

I can finally see my fuel level at night!
While I've seen quite a few reviews complaining about the auto dimmer being too sensitive, I've not experienced the problem myself. It works well for me and I'm pleased with my purchase. Further, the look is sooo much better than stock.

Doesn’t work on Harley Dyna 2012
Took 30 mins to install, I had to cut wires for my stock gauge — it caused faulty low fuel indicator on Harley Dyna 2012 —

Looks cool, doesn't work well
Looks great and matches the gas cap awesomely. Only issue is that it is defective and warranty service is required through dealer and is causing an issue for me. I purchased two, one was shipped incorrect model and returned. Second was defective. In constantly cycles the bright and dim (day and night), and I recalibrate the tank with 1 gallon left (5 gallon tank) and it still flashes at over half a tank remaining.

Very good unit for the price but not as confident of an installation as you would like.
Much more visible than the stock FXDWG fuel gauge on a 2012 model and has a voltmeter which they all should have anyway but.....Only complaints are that the instructions are tailored for the various grouping of bikes these fit but the wire colors are 2 for 3 on a 2012 FXDWG. partially going on a quick cross reference in the service manual for where the different colored Harley wire comes from....partly on a fair knowledge of electronics and circuitry and part what the heck two of three are right bet the third one is too, it works. Good thing because you'd have to take everything back apart and would be a pain to back track and change the plan after hooking it up to see it didn't work.Next complaint is that it fluctuates wildly when turning and will catch your eye. I'll get used to that but weird at first. makes sense. float is right front of the tank. less than a full tank gas will go to the other side when you lean it and accelerate so the float drops and the gauge shows empty for a second or three. All in all way better than stock and worth the money just sort of a crap shoot on the wiring even though ends up just being a plug and play on this model Harley thankfully and getting used to quick sensitivity of the gauge and float level. Think it can still work with the factory low fuel indicators but may be off by a few miles won't bother me once I'm comfortable the low fuel is accurate on the gauge..seems to be and can be calibrated to wherever you choose. Different model bike? in the end you takes your chances but with fairly good odds I'd say.

Just Installed
First off VERY FAST SHIPPING thanks for that. I own a 2000 H.D. FLSTC and I have really no experience working w/wiring of fuel gauges but I will tell ya THIS WAS REAL EASY. Thanks to the clear instruction I had this installed in a 1/2 hr and it's up on and working very happy w/Kuryakyn and it looks great. Will be putting on the matching Vented gas cap when it arrives. When buying be sure to order the full kit. I had made that mistake and had to order separately but hey no problemo I happy w/purchaseThanks AgainJ. Ivy
