OK so the thing to know about this light is that not only does it output more light than other comparable lights, but the lens is focused better than any bike light I've ever seen. The LED isn't mounted like a typical light, instead it's mounted on the top of the light and pointing down and there are differently angled reflectors. The light output is incredibly well directed, arguably it's like a car headlight, there's a cut where it doesn't reflect so you don't blind people as much, but on the high setting it's absolutely fantastic. As other commenters have mentioned, the light doesn't last very long on it's highest setting. It's easy to get spoiled by this light and want to have it on fully all the time at night.I have lights twice as large that put out a lot more light but the lensing on this thing can't be so much as approached; all the light goes where I want it. I've bombed 35mph downhills in the dead of night with two friends who didn't bring lights, thanks to the full confidence of the high setting.

For only about $40, I didn't think the light would be a true 1500 lumens, but it definitely is. The automatic on/off setting works nicely and I'm glad it has that. It's got a solid aluminum construction. This light has a sharp beam cutoff, which is good for urban riding, but thats about the only scenario this is good for. If u ride on darker roads, or on trails, i do not recommend this light. I got the model with the remote, and the remote isn't good. I'm rating this 4 stars because the buttons are really hard to press, hopefully rockbros develops a better remote in the future.The photo shows the light mounted on the underside of my out and front mount. The light comes with a gopro to garmin adapter, which I used, but it DOES NOT come with the out and front mount, I bought it separately.

Needed a light that could mount underneath the bar and had a GoPro receiver. Light arrived quickly and is new in packaging. Mounted the light in my handlebars and it worked great. Very simple and intuitive operation. Build seems high quality, but it’s a little heavy. Been on a couple of dusk rides and it’s good. No problems so far. We’ll see how long a charge lasts and if there’s any issues that crop up as I continue to use the light this Fall. Overall, happy with purchase.

I bought this light for my bike. The light is heavy and durable, which I like. The light is quite bright, which is also great. The problem is the cheap plastic mounting bracket won't hold the light in place, even under smooth riding conditions. It has bounced out of the bracket 3 times on 3 rides, including once when I was pedaling in my driveway. I will say it is sturdy; the metal casing got scratched in the process, but the light still works fine.I went to return the product, which Amazon allows within 30 days. Of course, I am at 45 days, so Amazon won't allow a return. Fair enough, the product is under warranty for a year and it clearly is defective, so I tried to contact Rockbros to return. Yet there are no return instructions in the package, nor is there a simple way to get information from Rockbros. Seems like a crappy process all around.If the bracket was not so poorly made, I would have given a much better review.

This light is very bright, on par with the thrunite tc12 and Nicron L71. On high, the battery lasted about 3.4 hrs, which was about an hour longer than the other two.

Great light, but it did not work for my road bike mount

I just received the light and wanted to comment on details of mounting using the Garmin mounts.1) The bracket that slides onto the top or the bottom of the light is secured by the rubber pad that touches the body of the light. The single screw must be loosened slightly to allow the bracket to slide freely over the light for installation or removal. Once the bracket is in the desired position, the screw can be tightened to secure the light in place.2) The light twists to lock onto a Garmin mount (e.g those included with the light). The light will twist most of the way easily, but requires a firm final twist for it to snap securely in place, and to be aligned straight ahead. If the light turns most of the way and then stops and is crooked, it needs to be turned more even if it feels like it cannot turn further.
