Helped Fix my toilet .

I never knew about this product, but my toilet was acting weird and not filling up. It's a relatively new toilet and I did not know what was wrong so I researched and watched a video. The handyman said to use this on one of the parts so the toilet could flush. I ordered it and did exactly what he said to do and I fixed the problem.I like the fact that it is small enough, and I'm keeping this in the bathroom drawer in case it happens again. I'm sure it could be used for other things, but this is what I bought it for.

Great Lubricant for Outdoor Hose Ends

Used this to grease the ends of my garden hose and it worked great. We have had issues with hose ends being stuck to the outdoor faucet, and had to cut one off. This lubricant solved the problem! We take the hose off several times a year, and grease around the threads - no more stuck hose!

Good choice for o-rings and polyurethane bushings

Good value compared to the tiny little plastic cups of silicone grease you buy at the hardware stores. I use this whenever it will come in contact with rubber or polyurethane, as petroleum-based grease degrades those over time.

Excellent Grease for Sewing Machine Gears

I salvage vintage serger and sewing machines and fix them. The big mistake is the wrong grease people use on them which seizes up the whole machine.Wrong grease - White Lithium Grease, Vaseline, Automotive grease, Synthetic grease with calcium, etc.Wrong Oil - Machine oil, crude mineral oil.Correct Oil - Sewing machine oil which is refined Mineral Oil or even better Triflow Silicone Lube (oil) on all the non gear parts. Triflow will not harm plastics but Mineral or Sewing oil will harm them.Correct grease for Gears is this pure Silicone with PTFE (Teflon). Teflon adds a silkiness to the grease. Silicone does not damage plastic or nylon gears/ parts, whereas the other greases degrade them.Silicone is not harmful to rubber in case it lands on the belts the others will degrade rubber.Silicone clings to the gears as it is sticky - you want that so grease does not displace and keeps gears lubed.Silicone does not react to heat so it does not degrade or melt away with heat as the others will too.I could have used Triflow Synthetic grease too, but I don't know what is mixed in there and that could degrade some of my nylon gears as in the White Superlock 534W-2 Serger I have. Plastic /Nylon gears or camstacks degrade with age and crack after 10-20 yrs of use so why accelerate the process with corrosive greases, right? After careful research, this is my choice and I feel it is safe for every type of gear. A fine product.Note: Old vintage motors like the Singer 301, Singer 221, 222 Featherweights, etc specifically need this grease mix:Refined White Vaseline (on Amazon)Refined Mineral oil branded as Lily White oil or generic (on Amazon)Use mostly this combination, heavy on Vaseline with a few drops of oil mixed in. Use this only on the motor shaft wicks, soak the felt pad with it and the felt wick sticking out. As the motor turns and generates heat, the Vaseline mix melts and leaches out on the motor shaft, slowly lubricating it. You don't want too much oil near electrical things so this was devised. Genius design! So be sure NOT to use Silicone grease or Triflow Lube on these wicks, only Sew Retro grease or my DIY formula.

Car window tracks!

I have a 2004 Toyota 4runner and recently my 2 front windows would make a horrible squeaking sound when going up and down. Also, to make matters worse, the drivers side window would just slightly come off track and the window would stop itself from rolling all the way up. Needless to say, it's been a real pain in my butt.I replaced both motors and regulators, so I knew that wasn't the problem. I used some dry lube WD-40 which would not only solve the squeaking noise completely, but the drivers side window would not longer want to come off the track. The only problem is the WD-40 dry lube was only for for 2-3 days tops, and then my problem would start all over again.I went back to the drawing board and did more research, which led me to this product. I should have used this from the get go, and saved myself a ton of stress and headaches. I applied it to the rubber tracks on both front windows using a q tip. I was generous with the product, as I'm fed up with having to respray WD-40 all the time. The results have been fantastic. Neither window squeaks at all, and the drivers side window does not want to come off the track anymore!Bottom line, if your car/truck windows are squeaking, or going up and down slowly, this product is exactly what you need! Highly recommend
