GATERON Milky Yellow Pro Switches Pre-lubed 5 Pin Linear Keyboard Switches for MX Mechanical Keyboard (70 Pcs, Yellow)

Amazing feeling and sound to these switches, sounds great to type, has a nice bump to it when bottoming out, and they sound pleasant and not loud at all. I paired them with the epomaker th80 tkl barebones and can’t get over the sound and feel these provide.They don’t have much of a rasp at all when pushing them down. Feel pretty well lubed and let light come through pretty well, they plug right into any hot-swap board you have. And are plug and play. Use for gaming and document work and they perform great in both.

I usually hand-lubricate all of my switches, but figured I’d give the pre-lubed a try and I’m so glad I did! These are absolutely acceptable. They’re very smooth and quiet, without feeling too dead as some linear switches can feel. I think the amount of time these save outweigh any missed benefits by not hand lubing— highly recommend if you want the custom feel without all the effort.

I absolutely adore these switches. I installed them on my glorious chassis and they sound and feel amazing. Super easy to pop in. Although the rgb does not illuminate the best since these are a bit of a darker colored switch, but I don't even look at my keyboard or anything when typing or playing anything. Had them for a year almost and they are holding up great. Spilled water a couple times and with some tideous drying they are still functioning great!

These Gateron Yellow Milky pros are good switches, but first impressions were mixed. After putting them all in (no issues), they on touch were overlubed. They felt heavy, as expected for 50gf switches, but mushy. I could almost hear the lube too. However, after a week of use it did go away and become normal. But after several weeks, the thocky noise does become a bit more clacky as it should, so basically yeah the noise changes but it just means you need to relube them.Overall, great switch, could be better in lubing. Durability? It's held up, and so far no issues with responding.

One of my favorite switches from Gateron. On the quieter side and very comfortable to type on. Such great value for these switches.

love the sound, sounds great stock! i definitely get more of a creamy sound on my keyboard and i love it!

These Gateron Milky Yellow Pros were kind of mushy out of the box. They were definitely lubed, because I took them apart. I swapped for 48 g Durock long gold-plated springs I had around and it improved the mushiness somewhat. For those that plan to mod the switches-- the upper housing and base do not fit well, so filming might be a good idea if you have the free time. Also, when you put the switch back together, the legs don't snap into place very well. If you're not careful when placing the switch on the PCB, the leg(s) can push out to the side and get bent.I have a Keebio Iris split keyboard on FR4 plates and no case. Akko ASA PBT shine through white keycaps on numbers and some modifier keys. Ranked POM jelly premium translucent blank keycaps on the rest. The Gateron Milky Yellow Pros diffuse light somewhat and block quite a bit of light. My picture has a side-by-side comparison with RGB with equal LED light strength. Left blank keys are Gateron Milky Yellow Pros. Right half has all Akko V3 Cream Blue Pros (tactile).After 10 days of test driving Gateron Milky Yellow Pros on the left compared with usual Akko V3 Cream Blue Pros, I don't notice a difference in overall fatigue, but the Yellows are softer to push (which is expected for linears). I've had no issues with mispresses on the Yellows, so I think they would be a great option for typists and arthritic hands looking for a budget linear.Overall these switches are definitely not for me. If I were to do everything over, I would buy unlubed Yellows and lube myself to my preference. These switches would need significant modding to feel good for me. YMMV.
