Absolutely brilliant
This item is absolutely brilliant and so easy to use.I was a first-time installer of Ethernet cables around our new house. I had single-port sockets for the bedrooms and one of these in a cupboard on the first-floor landing. It seemed well made. The only thing I would possibly say negatively is that it would be better with a back box. But I suppose it depends on what depth back box you need.If I needed another I would buy this one again

Decent quality, fairly easy to install Cat6 with a punchdown tool
Fitted to Cat6 solid core 23AWG cable and had no issues, it's a bit of a fiddle making it all neat and tidy to push back into the back box (sold separately, or use any standard UK backbox that's 26mm deep or more).

Good boxes, 1 star off because its a shame they don't include a little cable tie!
if Ryanair made cat6 faceplates....everything is extra!

Issues I've never seen on one of these wall plates before
Seemingly perfect product - it certainly unpacks as being nice and sturdy but I had two issues with it. Firstly, the central connection block is just clipped into the surround and this means that it is constantly popping out as you press the wires into the connection block - this makes a fiddly job even more fiddly. Luckily I'd left myself enough cable to butt it against the wall while I attached the individual wires. Secondly there are 8 little 'sprews' that stick out of the back of the face-plate, these might be to fit snugly within certain wall boxes but for my wall box they didn't fit so I had to cut them off to get it to fit on. This I only discovered after I'd wired up so in the restricted access that was available I successfully stabbed myself while doing this. One could argue that that's my clumsiness however I've bought a number of these sockets from other manufacturers and they appear to provide no essential purpose while clearly providing compatibility issues.

Bit thicc, but works well
I wanted to replace the telephone line socket with ethernet, unfortunately I didn't have enough wires for fast speeds so I'm stuck at 100mbps, but it works perfectly and 100mbps is better than 0mbps and a phone socket I won't use.

Easy to use with punch tool, socket modules fall out of place too easily
Easy to use and punch down tool did a good job, the colour chart is easy to follow the the ‘b’ standard of connectivity. The modules are not secured that well, when I used a normal level of force to connect the end of the cable in it pushed the module back into the plate which caused all the others to move out of place, took a while to realign them again but good value at current price point. Good speed and no issues so far
