Substantially Built, Lowest price.
Try to find any ladder at this price point. And this one is 60" tall with 5 steps! The steps are wide as well so plenty of footing. It is very sturdy, comes with stainless steel fasteners. The mounting bolts included are for boat decking. I'm using it as a dock ladder so I purchased some stainless steel lags for the mounts on the inch and a half decking. The J hook and latch design are perfect as the ladder is removeable instead of fixed. Especially handy on a boat I'm sure but for the dock as well. We are in brackish water so I can put it out when needed and store it when not needed, it is very light weight making it an easy task. This ladder is perfect for my needs, sturdy and affordable.

Works well for me
This ladder came in a well designed carton, no problems with damage and with all necessaary nuts and bolts with good instructions. And a 1-800 number to call if there were any problems. The attachment clamp seems to be designed for attachment to a pontoon boat. I wanted a permanent mount on my dock so I drilled holes in the horizontal square tubes that rest on the dock and attached with lag bolts. I also embedded the lower legs into the lake bed making for a very secure installation. For use, the angle of the latter makes it more of a stair, making it easy to go up down.

Nice ladder!
Ordered on Monday afternoon from Recpro Marine and it was on my doorstep Wednesday afternoon!Assembly was pretty straightforward, which was nice considering the instructions left much to be desired. Took me about 20 min including digging out and putting up tools. If you're mechanically inclined, it's not a big deal. Hardware was all high quality stainless which is necessary to keep everything from rusting in the wet conditions.Tools needed:Phillips screwdriver or driver bit3/8" and 7/16"(11mm)socket or wrench3/16" drill bit*power drill or impact driver speed up the assembly process*Using this as a permanent setup on a dock. Felt a little chinzy when I got it all put together, but was impressed in how sturdy it was once I put it in the water. The angled steps make all the difference when climbing up and down. Had a 3-step folding ladder that made exiting the water feel like way more work than it should have been.I might add some extra u-bolts on the bottom support channel to help sturdy it up a little, but it will probably be overkill. It works great out of the box with just the included hardware.*If you want to save a few bucks, just get the 4-step model instead. I find that the lowest step isn't really needed*

A good value
Looked at a lot of steps for stationary boat dock. Live on a river with 30" average tide. Most adjustable dock mounted ladders end up in the water at least part of the tide sequence. Tried my neighbors lift up slide steps with narrow steps and didn't like them (hurt my feet and the bottom steps stayed in the water when the bottom slide was lifted.) Algae or barnacles grow on the steps when they remain in the water, so we can remove the ladder steps when we aren't swimming. The steps are easy enough for my wife to remove. Storage location needs to be identified before you buy them, but they are light enough to be lifted to overhead storage if necessary. Bought 5 step ladder, but wish I had bought a 6 step ladder for low tide situations. Load tested to 250 pounds and still seemed to be sturdy. Bought an extra set of mounting brackets so we can relocate the ladder on the swimming deck if desired.
