Really cool.
Not a bad led in either strip. Modes are fun. My wife and I sat and went through all the cool modes for over an hour. Leds are very bright, but can easily be dimmed down to very low. Not sure why app is low rated. It connected easily and paired with Alexa. Which you are able to tell Alexa which mode or scene and it works with out issue. Only had it up for a few days but no complaints at the moment.

Transformed my garage into a smart, vibrant workspace!
Installed this 100ft Govee RGBIC LED strip in my garage, and I’m honestly impressed. The lights are bright, responsive, and packed with customization options through the Govee app. I mounted them along the ceiling and avoided my overhead Fleximounts without a problem — the adhesive and flexibility were great. The biggest win? Alexa integration. Now I can walk in and just say, “Alexa, turn on garage lights” — and boom, the entire space lights up like a showroom or mood-lit workshop.Setup was smooth, packaging was clean, and the quality feels solid. Highly recommend this if you want to add smart lighting to your garage, room, or workspace.

I absolutely LOVE these lights
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had these for a while now and I’ve never been happier. I’ve bought many different “smart lights/bulbs” but Govee blows them all out of the water. The functionality of the app is easy, you can customize each individual light on the strip (it’ll take you a while but I promise it’s worth it) if you aren’t a fan of that there are many many different options in the app for lighting scenes. Movies, nature, emotions, etc. Oh did I mention you can have it pick up sound and the lights will move to the beat of the music? The adhesive on the lights is excellent, I’ve never had them fall off the ceiling. Make sure once you stick them that’s where you want them, though. You can adjust the brightness of the lights as well from 1%-100%. They are bright at full blast! Along with all of these already amazing features, you can set a timer up in the app so you don’t have to worry about turning them on and off. The app also has a feature that allows you to group multiple strips for easy control. If you are looking for a light strip to do one of those famous “cloud hallways” like I did mine- look no further. You won’t regret this purchase. Quick side note, customer service is phenomenal!!! I had one strip that gave me issues and Govee replaced it no questions asked. Absolutely worth every penny.

UPDATED!!!solution for bad adhesive AND broken strips
ok I'm completely updated my review. I originally rated it as 1 star I'm changing it to 5 based on the fact these lights ARE fixable... I have the 65ft ones and the 100ft ones... during install one half on my 65foot ripped...now I know everyone says that they can't be fixed but THEY CAN. you need a very specific 4 pin connector (ONLY for the 65 foot, 100 feet is a 3 pin connnector) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DY6KLK2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 I don't know if the link will work but THIS is the type of 4 pin connector you need... now you may lose some length but you need to cut right at the edge of the copper (oval) connectors..DO NOT cut the copper cut past it, do the same on the part you want to connect (depending on what side you're on make sure the ends match opposite, like if you have the right side clipped then you need to have the left side clipped of the attaching piece... now with those clippys... instead of having the clip latch facing you and on the same side as the copper connectors, the clips need to face the back so that the conductive wire is on the same side as the copper make sure the pins puncture the copper.... I don't know if the little right angle pieces included work but the clips WILL make the 65ft 4 pin strips work full functionality. Now onto the adhesive issue... especially with the 100 ft at first the adhesive was NOT sticking at all.... I realized my walls have oil based paint... those lil alcohol swabs they give you aren't gonna cut it... you need 91% isoporolol alcohol you need to strip the wall of that top silky layer of paint (it doesn't really change the color, just lightens it slightly you can tell where you wiped so be precise) but wipe down where you want the strip to be and LET IT DRY, it should feel kinda tacky, the strips will stick to that...do small sections at a time and press the strip as you go... I did 3 rooms like this after the strip originally didn't want to stick at all.All in all the lights are actually awesome...yes they are a bit fragile during install and I have noticed that at least the 65ft does FAINTLY stay on (it's literally a pinprick of light in a few) and during install of the 100 foot if you touched that little black sensor? that is every few inches it would cause the lights to come on faintly while they were powered off but as long as you aren't touching them they don't come on.They aren't perfect and I definitely wouldn't pay full price for them but they go on sale enough that they're worth it.wifi connection was smooth, alexa intergretion is ok but they don't play nice with alexa routines, other than off and on. the govee app is a bit complicated on the customizing side, there's a bit of a learning curve but it's not bad either...Will update in a month or so or sooner if something happens and I may try to upload a video if my explanation of the clips was bad

Love Govee lights, only have one small issue…
Have used Govee for a long time, I think their software and integrations are the best. However, the previous RGBIC sets had two connectors coming from the switch/power supply. You’d essentially plug two strips into the ends, which was nice for mixing sizes and such, since you couldn’t effectively cut the rgbic strips and have them work correctly. Now, the ends are one single connection that is integrated into to the strip. Now I have like a 10 ft. Spot that doesn’t have a strip on my ceiling which sucks but is not that big of a deal. I can definitely diy it due to the contacts on the end of the strips if I really want to go that route. One plus is, the new strip seemed to connect to my WiFi a lot easier. Works great with my google home system as well, which my previous set would disconnect here and there and have trouble connecting to the WiFi, even after a replacement by the support team, who are fantastic.Adhesive and strip overall has changed construction. Seemed a lot thinner and was worried about it being flimsy or not sticking, but actually seems to work even better with sticking to the wall. Will update my review after a longer period.Govee lights are a bit pricier than other brands, but worth the expense in my opinion.
