Organic Perlite for Plants, Soil Amendment for Enhanced Drainage and Growth, Ideal for Potting Mixes (1 Quart)

I make my own African violet soilless mix. This plant needs a fast draining mix, so my mix contains about 40% of perlite. It’s an absolute necessity for African violets so they drain well and don’t retain the water, which will cause root rot and kill your plant. I’ve bought other brands that contained so much dust that the amount of product wasted was unreal. I find this product did not have a huge amount of dust, but by its nature, it will contain dust a the bottom. It’s almost unavoidable. The pieces are just the right size for my needs, they hold up for a super long time. I usually repot every 6 months and this perlite definitely holds up to that time frame, but I believe that I’m underestimating the product, I bought this for my mom and she repots yearly. This product holds up to her yearly repotting. I’d recommend this product for the reasons I mentioned, it’s very good quality, and doesn’t contain the dust compared to other brands.

Worked very nicely in growing roots on my monstera cuttings. Very lightweight and is perfect in whether you want to keep moisture or not. I do recommend washing out the dust before use as it can and will block the holes on the bottom of pots.

Bags not large enough.

The product is of good quality and organic which I needed. I ordered it before I knew how much more you can get for your money elsewhere but it was conveniently delivered and you pay for that I guess.

I had never used this before and wasn't sure how it would go! I didn't need to worry! I made ice cubes and they came out great!

Very small , little bag.

Came quick and looks to be exactly what I needed. The price reflects the size. Perlite isn't generally cheap. I put a lighter next to the bag to reference the size. But I only needed a little bit because I'm only making a coco coir mix for four solo cups for my clones. If you are wondering, you mix 2 thirds coco coir with 1 third perlite for a good air flow and drainage in the coco coir. Gives the newly developed roots a fair shot at getting oxygen in the coco coir.

There is another product that have reasonble price.
