Yes, they are sharp..they are supposed to be that way. Angle them and make small downward motions and you won't cut your skin. Those fine clear hairs, rough skin spit and bumps disappear if you use it regularly. Take less than a minute. I usually wash my face, clean the metal with alcohol and do my thing. Then I wash it, use alcohol again and put it away. I always use a gentle soap, wash my face again and put on my makeup.

These are the only dermaplaning tool I’ll use! I’m a repeat, repeat, repeat customer. I typically use it once every 4-5 days and make sure to use water, soap, or some sort of dermaplaning oils. I will say, make sure to really dry the blade off if you expect to use the same one twice. Like anything metal, it will rust if you leave product on it.

My hairdresser has one that is very smooth with no drag… this kind doesn’t feel smooth on the skin, the repetition is deliberate, and has rather large ridges in the blade which seems to cause the blade to not thoroughly defuzz the skin.Wish I had seen the ‘no return’ on this, but I will probably pursue a refund , since the item doesn’t work properly. I might try it on some pilly sweaters!Update:I have since used this on sweaters, my arms, and legs. Especially great for that almost invisible top layer a dead cells on legs!!! I just changed my review to 4 stars from three. I still don’t use it on my face,,,

Wow very awesome! This was my first time dermaplaning my own face and the outcome was truly amazing. I was kind of shocked at the amount of peach fuzz this blade took off. Doing this myself was very rewarding I must say. I would highly recommend!!

These are the best razors I've used for dermaplaning at home. I've been using them for years.

I used this face razor for the first time and it wrecked my face. My skin was burning with how many cuts it gave me and the next day I woke up with tons of acne. I've been shaving my face for years now and have never had this issue before. It did get all the hair off and I love that it folds into itself, but I think I'd recommend trying a different brand first.

It works really well for face saving.
