Bumble Bee Foods, is a former American company that produces canned tuna, salmon, other seafoods, and chicken. The company is headquartered in San Diego, California, United States. The brand is marketed as Clover Leaf in Canada. It is now owned by the British private equity firm Lion Capital. However, because BB Tuna does NOT make efforts (or very little effort) to keep dolphins out of their nets (which will kill these beautiful animals-they actually drown as they cannot reach the surface to breath) I will no longer purchase their brand.. I buy only Starkist, which though owned by a South Korean company is still caught and then canned here in America (in Pittsburgh).. Hope that answers your question..

There's no way to know until you get it. You can expect/demand it be fresh and not nearing its "best by" date but there's no one in the warehouse picking tuna packets off the shelf reading your question.
