These work as intended
Recommended by America's test kitchen, These work for what they were designed. Peeling and deveining shrimp is a tedious task which takes quite a bit of time. After peeling and deveining a pound or two of raw shrimp, I've been going with frozen uncooked 'Easy Peel' shrimp which have the shell on but split and deveined. It's pretty convenient.

Finally, something better than the tines of a fork!
OK, as much as I love fresh shrimp, I should have gotten something like this long ago! It makes the job of peeling shrimp so much easier and faster. Doesn't always de-vein the shrimp though, still have to pick that out. I like the fact that this cuts like a scissors, something most others don't.

Love them
I got the chance to use them for the first time last night. I ordered two sets of these because I knew I had a lot of shrimp in my freezer that was needing peeling. Last time I peeled these same shrimp I had purchased (9-11) count shrimp. I peeled them by hand and my hands were scratched, nicked, and poked from the heads and shells. This time we had about 10 pounds that needed to be prepped before cooking. Myself and one of my buddies used the twos sets I purchased. It took a little time to get the down because I'm just not used to working with curved scissors. But after about 5 shrimp I got the hang of it really got in a groove. Once I figured out which way worked best for me these things were being peeled very quickly. Not to mention that my hands really appreciated my purchase as well. They weren't all scratched and poked after we got done. All I did is break the head off, cut down the spine with the scissors, peel the cut shell off, and pinch the tail to get the all the shrimp out in one piece. My friend who was helping me asked me where I got them and told me he would be getting some soon. Very pleased and can't wait to try them on some snow crab legs.

Honest Review, works as advertised
Functional and sturdy. There is an art to cleaning shrimp, but once you get the hang of it you will find this tool very handy. I would recommend and buy again

These are a great pair of little shrimp deveining scissors
These are a great pair of little shrimp deveining scissors, in concept. They need to be way sharper. They re not sharp enough. AND they are pretty cheaply made. If they were of a better quality (not heavier, just have a better feel in your hand) and were sharp, they would be 5 star plus.
