Really Nice Morse Code Trainer
This thing is pretty cool, it's pretty much exactly what I was looking for to learn Morse code. I'm not an experienced HAM radio guy, I don't have the rest of the radio equipment, but I am interested in learning Morse code as a skill. It lets you tap in morse code in a free mode, identifying and displaying the characters as you go, as well as playing the sound. There's a mode where it will quiz you on individual letters, and it has mode that will play back either a selection of common abbreviation or a random letter sequence. The latter is, I presume, so you can attempt to transcribe it yourself and then check yourself against the screen. There's also a set of reference screens that show the codes for letters, numbers, and punctuation. It's pretty lightweight. The case is injection molded plastic, as it appears in the pictures. Mine was secured shut with four philips head screws. I looked inside out of curiosity and I was pleased to see that the LiPo battery is on top, and has what looks like a standard connector to the board. I suspect that it wouldn't be too difficult to replace it someday, if necessary. There is a volume control, a headphone jack, an internal speaker, a USB-C charge port, and a "KEY" port for attaching an external telegraph key. You can also tap in the dits and dahs using the enter key on the device.Someone mentioned that it needed to be charged out of the box before use... I had to do that too, I guess I've always assumed that was standard for small electronics. It didn't take long to charge. The screen was super-bright by default, almost too bright to see clearly. Fortunately, this is easily correctable in the settings. I found that setting the display brightness to the lowest setting and adjusting the contrast slightly made it more than comfortable for me.The menu interface is not 100% intuitive, you have to hit enter to cycle through the options for each item while next and previous cycle through available items. It's not difficult, just takes a couple tries to get used to. WPM rate can be adjusted (I had to turn the playback down to 10 WPM, I am a beginner and the default setting was a little too fast for me to understand). The sidetone frequency can be adjusted as well, allowing you to set the frequency of the tone. This could be handy for those with partial hearing loss, or if you just find one pitch less annoying than others. It came with a little semi-rigid case to store it in, which is a nice touch. There's also a USB-C charge cable. Mine also came with a little round rubber pad with adhesive on one side and a small o-ring; I have no idea what these are meant to be used for, but the device seems to function perfectly well without them.

Lemon? Broken..
I've had this for less than a day. Was enjoying using it for what it was. I went to use it this morning to get some practice in, and in the middle of a session the screen went blank. I've tried restarting the device multiple times, different combination of button presses, plugging it in and trying it that way, nothing. It's now a 60$ brick after less than 24 hours. Which is a shame because I was enjoying the products. Unfortunately I can't find any FAQs or support to help fix this on my own. I wouldn't buy this again.

This unit did not work....Internal battery was defective
This unit was sent back to Amazon. It would not hold a charge despite all of my efforts and internet searches to see if I was doing something wrong. I bought a second unit which did not work correctly and finally bought a the 3rd unit whichis working fine for me

Went dead, then turned on with blank screen
It worked for a day or two. The screen was very faint, so I turned up the contrast setting, but there was no difference. After another day, it went dead completely and wouldn't power on even when plugged into USB C power and allowed to charge. I gave up on it. A month or so later on a whim, I plugged it in again and it powered on, but the screen is completely blank. I cannot see the menu to adjust the settings, so I am not able to access the contrast setting (but not convinced that would fix it even if I could). I would not buy this again. You should search for another solution.
