Has helped cut down large shrubs and branches. Not particularly light but they work really well. Extendable handles are great and can use standing up to trim brush down to go in garden bins.

These loppers are well designed and very well made for the purpose of cutting LARGE stems up to 50mm. I don't think I shall break them (like I did my last pair). Yes, they are heavier than average, so if you only want to buy one pair of loppers, look for a lighter, general use pair. We have a big garden, three other loppers and a chain saw, but still need these. The anvil style cutting action works beautifully, but will require a blade change earlier than a bypass design after being sharpened a number of times. I looked for a source of spare blades but could not find one, so I shall have to be careful with the sharpening.

Excellent price for a really well-made and efficient garden tool. Not nearly as cumbersome in use as I had anticipated, although I was working from a ladder with arms outstretched. It did the job of lopping unwanted tree branches without any issues or problems. I would say it works perfectly for the branch diameter described. I did not attempt anything thicker. Recommended!

On second use blade sheared straight through. Totally unfit for purpose. Company rude and difficult to deal with so eventual full return to Amazon

I was looking a long time for decent branch cutters. i looked at a lot of reviews and settled on these.Cutting 30-35mm branches that are green is so easy, a few quick lops no resistance. made short work of an over grown hedge. A little more resistance against 38mm not so green branch also pictured. blades still going strong, last cut as easy as the first. handles are comfortable. If going to larger branches you might need to extend the handles for the leverage if you don't want to rely on brute force, at the moment I'm cutting without the extension.would recommend.

My garden was very overgrown with brambles and I'm very clumsy, so was put off using any kind of power tool to tackle it. This has cut through the base of the brambles with ease. Where I'm short I needed something I could make the handle longer on, when I needed it and the telescopic part was easy to adjust but didn't stop it being effective. It's not the lightest tool but it's not so heavy that when u need to use the telescopic part, it makes it too top heavy.

A good set of loppers and the extending arms really help to give you more reach. Seems to cope with anything I need to cut.
