Here are my thoughts on the KAER Gun Safe.. I got this safe because I needed an affordable and safe place to store firearms in my home. I do not have a lot of space so the size is pretty good. to be able to fit within my bedroom closet.I was able to fit several rifles and some handguns without feeling too cramped. There was also room to store my ammunition as well.The locking mechanism seems solid. I appreciated the different ways to open it – the keypad, the fingerprint reader, and the backup keys. The instructions were easy to follow so getting it setup was super easy, super quick.The safe seems pretty solid. The weight It is definitely heavy, so from a security standpoint that is always gonna be a plus.I would say it is a decent option for anyone that needs an affordable safe to store firearms. It provides a good balance of security and space.

4.5 stars. As others have stated, its more of a cabinet than a safe, but it’s serves that purpose well. The shelving on the left is a little smaller than I expected so I couldn’t fit my Savior 4 pistol holder but that’s ok, I can figure something else out***EDIT*** I was able to fit it, I had to pop out the top right shelf and insert the 4 pistol holder together with the shelf and squeeze it up just past the shelf hangers and was able to press it back in. Tight fit but it works. Some tips for putting it together, for the top, keep all the screws loose until they’re all in and tighten evenly. Also, be careful with a power drill, I accidentally stripped a few screws. Hand tight is good enough. All in all, pretty good buy.

This is more of a "Lockable Gun Cabinet" rather than a "Safe". I did expect it though due to the price/size and the fact that it had to be assembled at home.Assembly, took me a little over an hour and a half alone, with a screw gun. I'm unsure how long it would have taken with just the little screwdriver that came with it, I used a screwdriver for a few of the screws in an angle that I couldn't get the long shaft of my screw gun into, and I'm sure that my wrist would be sore if I had only used it.I only have one complaint about the assembly process, the order of instructions have you put the whole outer shell together prior to inserting the vertical middle separation. I could not get the middle inside the door as it was depicted in the instructions so I had to remove the top to slide it down inside and then shift it around a bit as I re-installed the top screws. Maybe it would have worked if I had help because the safe is door heavy and kept leaning while I was putting it together.With that said, I've had mine assembled and in use for a week and a half. It has a little light behind the door that helps to illuminate the cabinet when the door is open, which was a nice surprise for me. It's action is quiet (on silent mode) and swings nicely. I only wish the door pockets had a soft lining for placing handguns.

This is a great gun safe as long as you understand what you’re getting. Before buying, I saw some reviews that were surprised that the safe was not heavy duty. My use case is that I wanted a gun safe simply to keep my rifle hidden and locked away from my young kids. If a burglar or some bad guy wanted to open the safe, I’m sure it would not be hard at all. In one way, a perk of the safe being pretty light is that it will be easy to pack and move without disassembly when I move homes, which will probably happen soon. Assembly was pretty straightforward and the instruction manual was good enough. I think it took me a couple of hours and I was able to do it by myself. This is a great starter gun safe for people who have a similar need to myself, which is to lock your guns away from your kids and you’re not worried about it being extremely durable. I would recommend this to anyone needing a simple gun safe on a budget.

This is not a safe it’s a put together locker in a million pieces, the seller keeps changing its name so returns are difficult. They won’t pick it up so you have to get three people and a truck to bring it to UPS who won’t accept because it’s too heavy. Do not buy, waste of money for flimsy file cabinet

This safe comes unassembled so be prepared to do a little work, but once you get it together it is very nice. I really like the design on the exterior of the safe. It looks great in my home office. It is a larger safe so make sure you’ve measured your space for fit. It is a thinner metal so it’s not terribly heavy, but it can be mounted to the floor or wall for additional security. Great for anyone needing a nice looking, light-duty home safe.

The overall gun safe itself wasn’t bad, COMES IN SEPARATE PIECES you have to put it together will need at least 2 people. But the metal was bent and it is really thick we have no idea how we’re going to bend it back as you can see in the picture we can’t get that screw in because of it. That probably isn’t the sellers fault? But it is effecting the overall secureness.

It was a little difficult to assemble because you are trying to line up two dark pieces with holes for assembly. I used a white paint pen on the back piece of the two to give me a way to line up holes. Have been unable to figure out the keypad. Hoping someone else will help me solve this problem. The instruction booklet was very helpful on assembly with the pictures. The language instructions were less helpful. Hard to understand because the writer doesn't quite grasp all the word meanings in English. Construction is decent for a cabinet, thin steel that anybody could cut through with the right tools, but enough to keep the casual passerby out. I'm going to have to reinforce the bottom to hold some weight. Afraid a couple cases of ammo might bow the steel down. It perfectly fit my space where all safes were too tall. It will store my supplies well.
