Can use manually, does not fit ¼” quick-fit connections
This is a unique design. With most wire twisters the wire is inserted into the center of the twister tool and the drill will twist the wires cleanly. With this tool, the wires are inserted in holed around the perimeter which locks the wires so the drill can twist them. When done twisting and you pull the wire out, the ends that were inserted in the perimeter holes are not twisted so you need to cut the wire above this point to have a clean twist. It’s an extra step that isn’t needed with the most other twister tools. It does have features the others don’t. It comes with 2 screws that screw into opposite sides of the twister tool providing a handle that allows you to twist by hand. To get a good twist you should hold the wire near the stripped end with needle nose plyers to insure the twist ends at the right point. Holding the wires with needle nose plyers means you only have one hand to twist. It works but is just a bit clumsy. When using a drill, you can insert a wire in the center that will extend out from the twist about 2 inches. This is useful for combining multiple grounds in a box to connect to one terminal. You cannot use this with any drill or driver that uses ¼: quick fit connectors because the hex is too large. Finally, the red paint on the stripper is already chipping off after only a few uses.

Low-cost, versatile solution
I love efficient tools. This arrives in a small, blue, plastic box that hold the twisting too and the screw in handles for manual use. The handle is basically two bolts, each screwing into one side or the other.I like the ability to use this by hand or the drill motor. You can twist up to five wires at a time. I rarely do electrical work, but I twist wire for decorative and jewelry purposes, and this makes it a lot easier. The size is great. It’s a little chunky to pop into your pocket, but it’s do-able.Great little tool, especially for the price.

Nice to Have Options
I have been using wire twisters on my cordless drill for quite a while. They are a handy tool, but sometimes I am in a situation where I would rather do it manually. This tool is set-up for manual twisting too, so I don’t have to reach for the pliers. It has threaded holes so you can attach little bars that put the control in my hand so that I can apply just the right amount of torque. This is very nice, a tool that works both ways. It is built well and it should last a very long time. The diameter of the mouth is just a little smaller than my others, but it is plenty big for the wire sizes I typically work with. In fact, these twisters start to reach a limit for very large gauge wires anyway, so any extra diameter would probably go unused anyway. I would say that this wire twister is a very good value.

takes practice
this tool works as advertised but you can easily break wire with it if not caregul. it does takes some preactice to know when to stop twisting and the gauge of the wire also makes a big difference as well

Nice quality tool that saves your hands
I like that you can use it manually or with a drill. It works as expected and makes a tedious job quick and painless. My hands have certainly thanked me. It is well made and easy to use. I think it is worth every penny and will buy it over and over again.

A better way to connect or terminate wires
If you regularly work with electrical wiring, then you need this. Faster and more effective than hand twisting.

Good tool to have
I got this to twist my wire for my armatures, and so far it works well. I wish the cross parts were a little more beefy or longer to make it a tad easier to twist with them. I've used this both by hand and in my older drill, and both worked well.
