The best there is now. Stop looking...
An excellent fan actually made of metal! If it was made in USA instead of China it would be perfect! But it's as close to perfect as possible for now. Hopefully soon we can stop building up the Chinese economy and start building up our own with manufacturing in the USA and employing our people again thanks to long needed tariffs on Chinese goods finally leveling the playing field! The fan it replaced was a bigger 20" plastic lasko but this one having a 16" metal blade pushes as much or more air! Much heavier than a plastic pedestal fan but not unwieldy to Move Around. It looks Good And the extra price is easily made up for in observable quality and substance by being metal. It's not just another cheap plastic pedestal fan. The metal blade pushes air better than a plastic one does. I have a big Vornado floor model from the 60s built like a tank that still works great and really moves the air. I know this won't have that longevity but nothing does anymore. I'm happy someone at least still makes a metal house fan. Best one to buy.

Work as good as it looks!
Fan has an amazingly nice "classic" look to it. For it's size it's better than average for moving air and and is pretty quiet while running. The remote controls are really intuitive and really didn't take a lot of time to figure out. The one we are replacing this with will find another place in our house where the noise isn't annoying (garage) to finish out it's existence and when it finally dies it will get replace by another one of these. If you have an old home that deserves appliances with a classic look, this is a must have!

Seems exceptional quality on its price range!
Just returned another fan (different brand) that fell apart as soon as I opened this box, so this was an extra NICE surprise! Sturdy packaging helped parts arrived unbroken (thankfully.) The weight of the stand and pole are exceptional, imo! I've had several fans I've had to duct tape like crazy to make sure they didn't fall over! These are sturdy. Not very hard to put together, either. Took me about a half hour (female, nearly 70, 100 lbs.) I figure if I can do it, most others can too.The instructions are mostly clear, though set in a very SMALL point size. (It would be very helpful if the instructions were larger in size.)So far, the fan is blowing beautifully! I like I don't need to worry about it tipping (though I do worry a bit about my mechanical abilities, lol.)Overall it's a beautiful, high-quality looking fan that I expect to last a good 5, or more, years! We shall see.***, I rated this only four stars because the instructions are so small I had to use a magnifying glass and flashlight, atop my bright house lights.

IF THE FAN DOESN'T WORK AFTER PUTTING IT TOGETHER READ THIS BEFORE CALLING AMAZON
After putting the fan together it didn't work. After some troubleshooting I found that if you screw the back cage nut to tight it won't spin What I recommend is to take a apart, tilt the head back slightly then sit the back cage on. After screwing the retaining nut on initially tighten the retaining nut a little at a time. Turning the fan on to make sure it spins.Repeat this process until you feel secure that it is tight enough. Then put the blades on and then the blade resting nut repeating the process you did for the back retaining nut. Finally put the front cage on and it should work normally. Finally I let the fan run for about 10 to 12 minutes and the checked the back part of the head where the motor is and it was cool as a cucumber. I then turned it off and on several times, adjusted the fan speed, and turned the oscillation.on and off and it worked normally..I'm writing 5his review a few hours after figuring out why the fan would not spin. If after a few days it stops working or there are other problems I will update this review. If there aren't any updates it's safe to assume the fan is still working normally.

Great fan with modes and timer
Love that it has modes that can be chosen and has a timer with a handful of duration options. Easy assembly and has good power. It’s not silent but it doesn’t make too much noise so it’s decent for sleeping

Great fan!
I just loved the convenience of having a remote with this fan. I previously got a version without the remotes and dreaded having to get up to adjust the fan in the middle of the night. Another plus is the lack of additional noise. It’s very quiet but powerful, perfect for people who can’t sleep with a lot of noise.
