I've cheaped out far too long in my home studio with budget microphones. When I finally spent the extra dollars (not a heck of a lot more) and got the NT1 condenser I realized what I'd been missing; and it is significant. This mic puts out what you put into it. Very little coloring with very low noise floor qualities. Don't hesitate and spend the extra. It will make your recording projects much easier. Recently been using it on my Martin acoustic dreadnought guitar, and some vocal tracks; both applications turned out extremely easy to get great sound and I attribute this largely to the RODE NT1 mic. Mucha gente como yo, suele tener desconfianza al comprar productos tan costosos y que tengan que venir del extranjero. Déjenme decirles que aquí no hay falla. Te llega por que te llega. Me costó más barato que con otros vendedores. No me estafaron. Me llegó en buenas condiciones aunque la caja sufrió un golpe. Por suerte el paquete viene tan bien protegido por parte de RODÉ que no se dañó nada. Me llegó el micrófono que pedí y funciona increíble. I love how it picks up vocals for its price (which is roughly the same price as I paid for my previous AT2020, which was quiet and it was annoying). I really think you can enjoy it and record some professional vocals with that (not sure about instruments, haven't tried yet). It feels sturdy, metallic and solid. Comes with a really good pop filter (easily adjustable) and a pretty solid shock mount which are also a nice.
