A good selection of stories. The Raven is not in this book, it is classed as a poem, so if you want the poems including the Raven go for the completed works type of compilation.

Arrived quickly and exactly what I needed to read for my next book club meeting.

Beautiful hardbound book, I immediately flipped to 'The Oblong Box' and relived my joy of Poe's works all over again the other night.The only problem I can have with this book is the size, for me it's too large to comfortably read while lying down. Other than that, I've never been disappointed with a collection of Poe's writing, and this book is a nice addition to my book shelf.

I know that this writer is not for everyone. My wife, for example, does not like his writing at all. "Too dark for me" she says. I, however, must appreciate the ability Poe had to describe the baseness of the human soul in mysterious and gothic stories. I love his writing! And this edition is stunning. It's all the Poe that you'll ever need!
