I find that the more basic water bottles, like this one, are my favorite. I like the size, fits fine in my hand, and the lid closes tightly. Nice, sturdy plastic material that won't cave in. I don't like having a straw or other components to try to keep clean. Some hot, soapy water and a bottle brush keeps this bottle clean.I can fill it up and consume a good bit of water before having to fill it up again, which is what I really needed. I am on a quest to drink more water, and this helps.Also, I don't like ice cold water. So the fact that this doesn't keep water cold is a plus for me. Room temp is perfect for me. The wide mouth allows for chugging just as easily as sipping.I bought the purple color and it's lovely. I can clearly see the water inside and I like the markings so I know how much I've had (or how much I have to go). The lid fits securely and so far no leaking when I've had it full in my bag. I also like that the lid stays attached, and I don't find that bothersome at all.If you're like me and want a water bottle that is a basic design, sturdy, and holds a lot of water, this is it.

Very sturdy - Can't tell you how many times I've dropped a full bottle of water and all I have is a minor scuff. Love this jug.

This is my third Nalgene bottle, I also have a red and a blue one. I have used Nalgene bottles since I was in elementary school and 20 years later still take a bottle of water with me everywhere I go. I love that they are BPA free and they hold plenty of water. They can easily clip to almost anything and fit nicely in a backpack's side bottle pouch. You can never have too many of these, I prefer the wide mouth ones as they are easier clean but can make a mess if you're not careful.
