So far soo good.

I use these when playing electric guitar through an amp or mini amp . It stops tje family complaining about the noise. Comfortable, good sound and a year in still working .

Excellent Sound Quality

I use them for my music - either plugging into the audio interface or the mixer. Terrific response to the low end and also the high frequencies. They're also very light and comfortable, plus being partly open I can still hear anything going on in the background - doorbell, telephone, wife telling me to do some housework...

Good sound for the money, but some way short of the best in hifi terms.

Good sound for the money, but some way short of the best. These headphones sit comfortably over the ears, and have a nice long flexible cable which adds to their practicality. They deliver a very listenable sound for their price point, a warmish balance, with a full upper bass, reasonable balance across the other frequencies and decent dynamics. I have used them for listening to a range of music types played via a Sugden CD21 CD player hooked into a Douk headphone amplifier, also for monitoring bass guitar played via a Palmer Pocket Amp Bass. In these situations the Presonus HD7s are pleasant enough to listen to, but in hifi terms fail to deliver the kind of transparency, immediacy, treble clarity, deep bass and dynamic range you get from something like Sennheiser HD 280 studio monitor headphones. Unlike the Sennheisers, the Presonus HD7s are not so cruelly revealing of the limited recording quality of some CDs, so don't be misled by the word 'Studio' in the name.Note that the first set of Presonus HD7s I purchased had a wiring fault. The second set have no such issues.

Totally worth the asking price !

These PerSonus HD7 headphones have far exceeded my expectations. I own several pairs of headphones including AKG MX50'S which cannot compeate with the HD7'S. The soundstage is impressive and well balanced. I am using the phones for mixing and they honestly have not disappointed. All frequencies are represented with undeniable clarity and balance as I mentioned. Headphones and the sound they deliver is a very personal choice but I have to say that the HD7'S deliver for to my liking without a doubt. Of course you can spend more but going on the reviews I had read on various forums which were incredibly complimentary I decided to give them a go and I am so glad that I did. Comfort wise I have no complaints however I will be looking out for a set of velour ear cushions to avoid the dreaded hot and sweaty ear syndrome that faux leather cushions give me. I do not think you can get the quality and depth of sound that the HD7'S unless you spend considerably more money. The designers must be congratulated for delivering thses phones at the price point thay have....unbelievable. Best 40 quid I've spent in a long time. Highly recommended...

Disappointing after the other reviews

Time was when you could buy good quality headphones for very little outlay.Since the rise of the iPOD and smartphone those days are long gone. Now you get what you pay for as manufacturers have sought to squeeze the cash from the headphone generation and you now pay ÂŁ100 to get what used to cost ÂŁ25.I was expecting Presonus to be an exception, especially given their reputation, the intended market of project studio users and the reviews of others.Sadly these phones fall into the cheap and cheerful bracket. If cash is really short then they will help until you can buy some serious headphones for the studio, but don't make the mistake of expecting to hear what's really going on in the music. you can use them as a spare pair of tracking headphones but definitely not for mixing - absolutely not.The bass end is solid without falling for the modern fad of over-hyping it but the mids and tops are far from helpful. The mids are hollow and will give you quite the wrong impression of vocal and guitar tonality and dynamics. the top end is somewhat brittle and i cannot see using them over a long session with comfort. As to wearing them, they are light weight and generally comfortable but ooze budget build quality. I don't expect them to cope well with the rigours of the studio. If you are serious about tracking and mixing in your studio then please save up to get something in the ÂŁ100-ÂŁ200 range: Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser, AKG, so on and so forth. My AB comparisons with such headphones were like switching on and off a light - an unfair test you might say but people make strong claims about these headphones being as good as headphones many times their price: they are not.I am sorry to be negative as I genuinely admire Presonus and use much of their gear, but in this case spending more will certainly get you something better. Use these as your spares.

Take the leap and buy them, it's a good piece of kit!

Good comfortable set of Semi-Closed Headphones, I don't have any complaints at present, the volume through them is clear and concise. For what you could pay with other similar head sets, this is a bargain. Also in my opinion it's very, very comfortable, is big enough to fit most heads. (Please don't ask me for measurements, google information) It is light in my opinion and was worth my hard earned cash, despite some negative reviews.I would suggest you go with your gut feeling on these and any other purchase on Amazon otherwise you'll end up financially worse off for no reason then a bad review.P.S Remember it comes with a jack adapter already screwed on the end of the cable, just unscrew it and it works in normal headphone sockets. I forgot about this initially, which at first startled me until a few seconds later I remembered and unscrewed the attachment. Easily done as no reminder in box.I brought this through Amazon, it came way before the expected delivery time. It is worth getting these if you want quality.
