CRAFTSMAN 20V MAX Cordless Electric Pruner, Battery & Charger Included (CMCPR320C1)

I own a lot of the Craftsman battery powered tools, so it was natural that I bought one of these when I first heard about them. I use them particularly for trimming grape and muscadine vines back each year in late winter. But I also use them for cleaning up fencerows, when a chainsaw would be a bit too much and a trimmer mower not quite enough. I use them all the time to cut limbs up to about an inch in diameter. I am stunned how much usage I get, even off the lowest amp-hour batteries. In fact, I carry one of these around in my ATV full-time, for use when I see something that needs trimming or clipping. While it was not my intent, I have cut wire fence many times with these, although I'd recommend trying to avoid that. I will also tell you to KEEP YOUR FINGERS AWAY from where you are clipping. It would be SO EASY to cut off a finger with these powerful blades! When working with two hands, I always think before I pull the trigger. I liked my first one so much that I bought a second. A couple of things need mentioning. If you go a few seconds without pulling the trigger, you'll need to release the safety and then re-engage it before pulling the trigger again. This takes some getting used to. Also, there are times when it just seems to stop working, even with charge left on the battery. A few seconds to cool off and a new battery have it back operating like new. Again, be safe!

Weight distributed comfortably with a 4.0ah battery, fits in tight spots well, cuts right where you think it's lining up, 1-1/4" branches like hot knife through butter VERY powerful cutter! Extremely happy with this cutting tool! Bought it for my GF to assist her in the yard work she likes to do and as she has arthritis this has been a wonderful tool to allow her to continue doing so in comfort. Confession: I like it too because it's a bad a$$ cutter! lol

A friend of mine had a similar tool but by Dewalt and I was looking for one but I am in the Craftsman ecosystem.It was great to find out that Craftsman had a similar tool and I purchased this for the purpose of trimming branches and such around the yard.This is a great product and cuts everything.If it is a little thicker, I have to cut the branch multiple times, but that is not a problem.This is a bit heavy with the battery, but when you aren't doing the work, it doesn't cause any fatigue.Only weird thing is the trigger, you have to hold the one trigger and keep it down and then press the other trigger to actuate the clippers.I guess its a safety feature as I would think there is no stopping it once it goes...And I am sure you can lose a finger if you are not careful.Anyway, pricewise, it is great when on sale, but I think it is worth the money as it is easier than trying to force a pair of loppers on a thick branch.

This pruner is an excellent purchase. It easily cuts through branches. The cuts are clean and neat. Battery life is good. I did find it a bit bulky the first couple times I used it. But, after a few uses I barely notice that issue. It is a great option for people with reduced hand strength or arthritis. Highly recommended.

Purchased to help with yard cleanup this spring.Made short work of the pile of accumulated twigs and branches from winter winds.Great product!

Craftsmanship of CRAFTMANS I tried & off brand & it was weight lighter, but not as Powerful & well made-up. I am quite pleased, would have liked a second battery & less weight, I am an Elderly person. Love all the work it is helping me with!

Amazing product! Wasn’t sure if it would work on thicker branches but literally cut like butter.I’m a senior citizen and hand trimmers aren’t so easy to use anymore. Have several bushes that have needed trimming for a couple of years and these got it done easy peasy. Have recommended to neighbors and relatives

I can't believe how useful these are. I use them all the time and the small battery lasts very long. Nice addition to the craftsman v20 tool I have.
