Brand New 21" Soprano Plastic Ukulele Carbon Fiber Pattern 1 WU-21G1(BB)

I purchased this Woodi as a backup instrument for my daughter, who already owns a Woodi soprano and loves it for the thicker neck. I paid about $36 for this uke, so I wasn't expecting too much. There were two negatives to this item:1) The printed pattern was smudged and damaged in many places on the ukulele. The smudging was very obvious, so if you want a perfect and new-looking instrument, do not buy this one. To be fair, this is the first time I've seen a Woodi soprano with this issue.2) The ukulele we received was strung with a low G instead of the re-entrant tuning that came on our other Woodi uke. The low G wound string was also rusted and sounded bad. This was easily enough fixed when I replaced it with an Aquila high G string. The other strings are acceptable, although I am not sure they are Aquilas.This Woodi sounds good enough for the price and would probably sound better with all new strings. It has a zero fret so setup does not seem to be an issue here. Overall, it was worth the price, but if I had paid the regular retail for this Woodi, I would have returned in light of the defects I've described here. I really think that the Woodi sopranos are a great buy with a good sound if you don't mind the thicker neck. They are more solid and sound better than the Makala Watermans.

I wanted something to take to the pool and camping. I was not expecting much more than something that I could strum on but am happy with the tone to the point that I do a little fingerstyle on it too. The strings that come on it are NOT very good. You should put a set of Aquila Super Nylgut -  Aquila Super Nylgut AQ-100 Soprano Ukulele Strings - High G - Set of 4  - on it as soon as you get it and you will be set.

I ordered this ukulele after reading great reviews on it and watching YouTube video reviews. I was very excited to receive this Ukulele. However, when I received it, the string G was broken. It did come with a replacement string (which I found quite odd). Also, the carbon fiber print was a little messed up on the side. It did not affect the playability of the Uke, just its appearance. I contacted the manufacturer and they kindly issued me a partial refund for receiving a faulty instrument. Playing the ukulele was great though! After tuning the strings, the ukulele sounds fine. I plan on replacing the strings for better tone. Overall, the instrument looks indestructible. It plays great, and I think it would be great for anyone who is hard on their instruments (especially beginners). I plan on purchasing a class set of these for a ukulele class I am planning on teaching next year. I purchased Makala ukuleles for my ukulele club 4 years ago, and they didn't hold up very well. Hopefully these will!

Works fine, probably would not recommend at any higher price point than 30-40$. The intonation of the c-string is off in the higher frets with the factory strings, but replacing them with aquila reds fixed that (more or less).
