Q: Are there different colors other than pink cloud for the daycare cot version that has the straps to attach to the cot?

I have it in grey with clouds, I didn’t know pink was option :) Mine also has the Velcro straps.

The blanket is shorter than the mat but not significantly. Maybe about an inch or so.

Q: What is the padding and pillow stuffing made of? Down or an alternative?

The filling of the nap mat is down alternative.

Q: Would this work for a 17 month old?

Yes! I bought it for my two year old, who is very petite (22 lbs) and she fits right in nice and cozy.
