Our timer has been broken on the dryer for quite a while. We will go with years. It just sucked having to keep track. Well, the dryer wasn’t spinning anymore so, the whole thing had to come apart. While it was apart, we just decided to replace the times, too. It works great! No issues at all. Fit right in the place.

Was hesitant to purchase an 'off-brand' to replace the timer on our Maytag MSC Centennial Dryer, but felt it was worth the limited risk because of the return policy at the significant cost difference (i.e. over 60% less than the manufacturers price). All-in-all, the timer fit perfectly and was super easy to install. There's a YouTube video out there specifically how to install a timer on the aforementioned dryer unit that is excellent.
