Brought back the orange color of my canary during his molt

I guess something was missing from my Timneh Greys diet cause her tail was not as maroon as it used to be, shes 20 btw. Now with this added to her water, she is looking solid in color, the maroon anyway, shes a grey, thats all the color she has!

My B&G macaw is having his heaviest molt in the 20 years I've been caring for him. It was so hard on him I took him to his avian vet for advice. She recommended two things in addition to the care I was already giving him: twice a week give him cooked oatmeal cereal + a supplement like this containing beta carotene to condition his skin and feathers and make them less irritating for him. Finding this German supplement is tough. This is the only place I found it in the U.S. among all retail and online animal care stores I searched extensively. A real find!One negative comment - The product was described as dissolving in water. It does NOT dissolve in my filtered water - it settles to the bottom of the water bowl. So I either have to heat the water to dissolve it or put it on his food. The reason why I didn't give this 5 stars.
