A good length for control of a submerged water inflow pipe. Arrived in sturdy cardboard cylinder in which it now remains for ready storage.

We recently had a pipe burst in our loft and our stopcock is outside buried a foot deep in a hole filled with water, Not a fun time on your hands and knees in the middle of the night when it's freezing cold trying to get your hand through a 3 inch or so hatch to reach the tap.This 'key' is a life saver! I can stand over the stopcock tap and just turn in from there! No more crawling about on all fours and reaching into the cold water!My only issue is with the shape of the bracket that goes over the tap, I would have preferred it be a more square design for a more positive lock, but the curvier 'U-shaped' bracket works relatively well.This is one of those tools that you rarely need, but boy, when you do need it, you'll be glad you have one! For £10.99, it's an investment and you can at least hang it up 'somewhere safe' until it's needed.

A basic tool that does the job. Need it as an alternative to using the main property stopcock, which is a complete pain to get to.It also provides peace of mind ensuring the main stop cock in the street works. I have cleaned the housing and the water meter which sits on top of it, and will use the tool once every 6 months or so to ensure the water supply can be turned-off reliably.Definitely worth the investment.

good enough, long enough, strong enough

The product is sturdy and appears well made. The finish is good however the big issue is that the head shape is not the one selected at checkout. There are pictures of both types within the description but it was the heavier one I wanted and ordered. What has arrived is simply a small metal plate bent into a U rather than a casted head. I've given three stars as I can just about get it to work but it's not ideal.

Well made long handled key for stop taps. I used mine to try to turn a seized tap under the kitchen sink. The tool was strong enough but I still failed to turn the tap and had to call a plumber to replace the tap!
