Quality speaker at a good price.
Got this as an Amazon return for £108.00. - it had no marks or flaws that I could see.The sound is really good and fills the room - you can adjust the Bass, Mid range and Treble in the Alexa App.The voice recognition software is also a lot better than the old echoes which sometimes wouldn't respond if you had the music on loud., this Studio has only done that a couple of times so far and I've had it about 3 months. So far so good really pleased with it - especially for the price (their over £200 for a new one)

Buggy but brilliant
My set-up: A projector using a 4K Firestick connected by the home theatre setup to Amazon Studio. I also use it extensively for music.Positives:The sound. I have had all of the echo devices over the years and this isn't even in the same lineup in terms of sound quality. For music its gorgeous, full and encompassing. Great sound quality. For movies the dolby atmos is just simply stunning. I watched an episode of Witcher and the experience was an absolute revelation. Its hard to describe just how different and better it is than the already very decent Bose Soundbar I have. Connection to the home theatre is easy, and of course you have all of the usual alexa echo benefits. On this basis I would buy it again on its own - indeed I'll be getting an additional one for another room this year.Negatives:If you haven't read the positives then do so - it may seem like I don't like the product when I do.Working on its own the 4K Firestick never misses a beat and is for all intents and purposes a perfect product. Working on its own so is the Amazon Studio. Brilliant. Putting them together however severely degrades the experience of both products for a number of reasons:1) There is no separate volume control for music and home cinema. They also have pretty different levels. That means you are turning the music up and down when switching between uses(although not by a lot).2) It's very very buggy, especially when using Dolby Atmos. You get freezes of the firestick which need resetting probably once every 2 - 4 hours. Irritating.3) You get freezes of the Studio so no sound comes out. As the setting choices are low this means you end up resetting one or both of the devices to get it back working again. I've found a bit of a workaround but its still not good. Again that happens every 2 - 4 hours in addition to the firestick freezes. Very irritating.4) The sound drops every 30 minutes to an hour in Dolby Atmos for a couple of seconds before picking up again. Mildly irritating. It feels to me like the effort being made on the software linking the fire stick with the studio is not enough. It needs quite a bit of bug fixing. When that happens however its going to be my top product of the year because even with all those problems its one hell of a product at a price point less than half of comparable Dolby Atmos soundbars that are Alexa enabled.

Like It!!
I ordered a refurbished model as I already have a JBL 300 that I like but wanted to try out an Echo Studio as well. Not at all disappointed. Bass is great. Sound quality great. Responds to commands well. As a comparison I do prefer the JBL 300. Mainly because the controls are easy to access, the sound quality is just a notch higher for my ears and it is battery operated so you can move it into the garden. The Echo Studio is 300 watts, the JBL 300 is 100 watts. I set up the Echo Studio so it is near my reading chair and I can listen to music/podcasts at close proximity. Marvellous!

Does what it says on the tin
It is what it is. I bought a ‘reconditioned’ one. So had been returned for some reason but was on offer at a good discount. No marks or damage. The packaging was thought woeful in the extreme. Just a flimsy box with no padding. So bad that the post office had popped the box in a plastic bag. This said. I’ve got Amazon speakers already and the setting up was simple. It does everything it should do. As far as sound quality is concerned, it is more than acceptable. But ‘rubbish in rubbish out’ as they say. Most albums I’ve played from Amazon Prime have been of very good sound quality. But the odd one has been ‘crap’. I don’t put that down to the speaker. So in general. Base is not excessive, with a good overall range. It is in the kitchen, works well there, and very good for a sub £200 price.

Dont buy refurbished! works for a month. Spent 4 months trying to sort this.
worked properly for a month. Spent so long trying to sort this. I love Alexa. I have a studio and a subwoofer in my kitchen, an echo in my study and wanted one in the garage for the summer. Bought a refurbed but its one problem after another. several factory resets, wifi extender made no difference. Got an expert in and he plugged my kitchen one in which I know is good as its used daily and worked fine. This one in the kitchen was still wobbly and warbly... weird voice and couldn't pick up a signal. Wish I tried that myself first and saved a £100!!!! It's deffo defective..... It's on its way back.
