Brilliant!
So far this has proven to be one of the best things I've ever bought! I don't like to kill spiders but when they invade my personal space they have to go! For most of the year, it's not a problem but for that time of the year when they start to come in - end of summer, early fall - it can be a big issue. In the month I've owned this gadget, I've captured 5 spiders and released them, completely unharmed, outside. It's easy to use and it works! The spiders ranged in size from small to humongous and it worked perfectly on them all. The only trick was getting the spider to come away from the corner or the baseboard as they were able to more easily evade the gadget there. Once they're out in the open, it's a piece of cake!

Life Saver (mine mostly, but also the spider’s)
I don’t write reviews, but this is an exception in solidarity with people like me who have an irrational fear of something that isn’t going to hurt you.I was nervous about using this, it seemed too short and I thought it wouldn’t work. However, first time out, it worked a treat. Biggish spider in bath went straight in, popped it out the window, spider fell straight out. And it didn’t feel too short - and I didn’t have to kill anything. I feel generally safer now and more relaxed alone at home.

A unique and useful concept for rounding up spiders in the garage.
Good value and easy to use, with no harm to any of ourt 8-legged friends. My only complaint was the the handle part came away from the main stem, however this was quickly fixed with a couple of wrappings of standard black PVC tape (or sellotape).Overall a very good and unique soloution to a unique problem.Top tip: If you have plenty of spiders, you'll also likely have lots of small webs in the corners of your roofs, hence use also a standard feather duster attached to a broom stick, and use this to remove them all, then bash the duster outside your window to release them, then do the next room etc.

It works ..sort of.
After 4 dry runs the rubber holding the grips popped out.Stuck it back and the grips don't quit line up.If there is any suction power,I haven't noticed it.Works well if you are angled at 90 degrees to the insect on a flat wall or spider hanging.Great for moths and spiders but flies are just too fast (good luck with them).

Already caught a meaty house spider and put it outside
I am terrified of spiders. I have had at least 6 meaty brown house spiders on the indoor walls this autumn so far. I ordered this and was actually excited as I waited for an invader. When it arrived in the porch it was huge and sitting half on the doorframe and half on the wall. I caught it no problem and it was wedged gently but firmly in the plastic catcher bit far from my hand. Turned, opened the front door (checked for more meaty spiders as that's where a lot of them sneak in) released it on the front garden path and it happily ran away into some shrubs. Couldn't praise this item enough! I did have some nightmares about spiders afterwards but that's just me with arachnophobia, the product is fantastic having used it once so it seems as thought I'm set to deal with the invaders from now on.... It was worth paying the money!

spider catcher
Seems to work so far. Nice long handle. Cap falls off but isn't actually needed. Haven't tried to use the hook foe hanging it up as it looks very flimsy and other reviews have warned it's useless. Glad it didn't come with a plastic spider hidden in the packaging as some apparently do!

Arrived in pieces
Arrived in pieces. Managed to get the bottom section (with the bristles) connected together again, but the bristles do not close fully at the open end, so they'll never keep a spider caught in a million years. Cannot get handle back together again so the handle and the spring don't work properly. Biggest pile of rubbish I've ever bought on Amazon. I bought this because my current catcher, which is over 10 years old, has damaged bristles. This was a replacement, but is worse than the one I am trying to replace. This has gone straight into the bin because it arrived broken, cheap and flimsy, and is totally not fit for purpose. And it is not worth my time, energy, and money, to return it. Won't be buying anything from this source again.

It works
Really useful for bigger spiders and keeps them at arms length. Doesn’t really work on small spiders- but I’m happy to catch those in a glass. Used it last night to catch a spider on the ceiling. Recommend.
