Much better thean the 1st Gen version.
This 2nd Gen Ring keypad is much better than the 1 Gen version where the plastic discolored over time. Smaller size, better buttons. The only negative is the bracket screw holes for this 2nd Gen don't match the 1st Gen so you have to drill new holes so the installation isn't as easy to swap out. Price is a bit high but it works well and easy to set up.

Happy
Had to replace our old one because it died on us and got this one. Perfect and no complaints. We love the ring system and will continue to use the products as we can. Easy to install, good price, and lights up as needed.

Ring Product Support is Excellent
Original Review (1 star):I purchased this Ring keypad (2nd gen.) on March 10, 2024 and it stopped working after 4 months of use. The Ring keypad will not light up and will not charge. I have three other Ring Keypads that are working O.K.Update 7/26/24:After posting the review above, Matthew from Ring contacted me to help get my Ring keypad operating again. We troubleshooted the Ring keypad for a few minutes and Matthew decided that I needed a new Ring keypad. A new Ring keypad was mailed to me at no cost. I installed it today and it is working well. Matthew provided a prepaid mailing label and I mailed the old Ring keypad back to him. Ring product support was excellent!

Good but hard to charge
Overall, this is a nice keypad. I had the first generation keypad as I’ve had my alarm for many years. The only difficulty is it’s hard to charge. It’s a narrow area to get the USB plug-in and if it’s not perfectly connected, it will
