Yes, on the air intake for a rack mounted power amp. It works well.

Q: When you hold this 30 ppi filter up to the light, can you see through it? thank you.

I can see specs of light through it, but I cannot see what is on the other side. It is opaque but lets specs of light through.

Q: Would this work for my ventless whirlpool dryer bottom filter?

That's a question to ask a Whirlpool dealer.
