Q: You have two products being sold as 5 gallon buckets the product dimensions have a difference of 10 inches in height, why is this?

I bought these and they are only 3 gallon buckets. And the customer service is awful. Emailed me back once and tried to make it sound like I was stupid and couldn’t measure a bucket. Then ignores the rest of my emails. I would find buckets elsewhere honestly.

Q: How much weight can you place on the bottom bucket of a stack of these buckets with no buckling, damage to buckets or to the bucket lids over time?

The buckets can hold 25 lb of rice beans whatever supposedly you are able to stack them three high that's not true my buckets have about 22 lb of beans in them I stacked them three high and the bottom one buckled within a few days.. so that being said if you're going to fill them 25 lb maximum limit only stack them two high. If you fill them each with about 15 lb you can stack them 3 high.

Q: How air tight are they?

Air tight. After 1st use you have to break a tab to open. Lid goes on again. Food grade

they will break sooner than later.

i bought these buckets five years ago and they are falling apart, cracked handles, cracked bottoms, cracked everywhere!. I still have 20 year old buckets that still in working order compared to these. Waste of money as I have to replace them.

A basic supply item that met expectations...

I use these as a part of a better mouse-trap I use on my property. Nothing at all fancy about them. Nothing at all that disappoints. Equal to the much more expensive Home Depot 5-gallon buckets. I'd buy again if I needed more.

Sturdy buckets but very strong smell that won't go away...is that normal?

Buckets arrived fast & well packed. Nice and sturdy.They have an extremely strong smell however and it's been a few weeks of airing them out and I've tried baking soda, baking soda & vinegar but I cannot get this very strong "chemical" like smell out. I'm worried the food I plan on storing on it will pick up the smell/flavor.Anyone have any advice for me to try? I'm spending a fortune on safe food storage and don't want my stored food ruined...thanks for your time & advice! Other than the smell, I'm happy with my purchase.
