Soil was amazing and smelled so fresh

I recently re-potted two deciduous Bonsai Trees using this soil. I was a little surprised that this soil feels more like traditional potting soil with but with some larger "chunks" of wood/media, but with no (obvious) lava type rocks that I'd expect to see in a traditional Bonsai "soil" mix.The soil felt great in my hands and had a delightful fresh earthy smell. The larger 8 quart bag easily filled two shallow 8" pots, using maybe 1/4 of the bag. Note that I did also line the bottom of the pot with ZFYOUNG Organic Activated Charcoal. This seems to help ensure the roots stay dryer.The price per quart of the larger bag is very reasonable. It didn't ship "prime" so it took close to a week to arrive.My little trees seem to love it. I don't think it would be my first choice for coniferous trees, but my Fukien Tea Tree and Chinese Banyon (ficus) are thriving in it. I'm also happy to say there were no fungus gnats or other pests in the soil!

Pleased with the product. I use it for my desert roses. Also, charcoal, clay pebbles, pine bark.

This is just regular soil. I ordered different bonsai soil and it is all rocks mostly like it is supposed to be. This is just dirt.
